Brett Cherry is a human geographer and science communication practitioner specialising in place-based, justice-oriented sustainability transformations, with extensive experience designing and delivering participatory, mixed-methods research in post-high-carbon industrial communities. With a deep grounding in just transitions, energy and climate policy, and experience working within ESRC-funded interdisciplinary action research programmes, Brett is well equipped to contribute to collaborative, joined-up sustainability research that delivers real-world impact. Brett comes with strong interest and experience in using assemblage and systems theory for addressing the complex socio-ecological problems that underlie the climate crisis.
