Comprising five local authorities: Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, and Wakefield with a combined population of around 2.4 million people, West Yorkshire is well known for its vibrant cities, former mill towns and rural landscapes.
Historically renowned as the heart of England’s wool and textile industry, the region retains a proud regional identity which celebrates innovation and hard work, often referred to as “Yorkshire Grit”.
