Niamh is the JUST Centre’s Research Communications and Engagement Officer. Her role is dedicated to turning complex climate research into compelling stories that resonate beyond academia.
Niamh manages the centre’s external channels and works strategically to highlight JUST as a trusted voice in climate justice debates. She builds relationships with key stakeholders across media and policy, and works closely with JUST’s academics to identify research with the greatest potential for impact.
Before joining JUST, Niamh held a number of research communications roles at the University of Sheffield, working with interdisciplinary centres to enhance their reputation, attract funding and build trust for evidence-based change. During this time she also completed an LLM in International Law and Global Justice and achieved best overall performance, with her thesis exploring the role of trade and human rights law in sustainable global food systems.
Niamh is passionate about bridging the gap between research, policy and communities, and is particularly interested in how research communication can shape national discourse and build consensus for equitable climate action.
