Niamh is JUST’s Research Communications and Engagement Officer, dedicated to turning complex, ambitious research into compelling stories that resonate beyond academia.
Niamh manages the centre’s external channels and works strategically to highlight JUST as a trusted voice in debates on climate justice. To do this she builds relationships with media and key stakeholders across policy and engagement, and works closely with JUST’s academics to identify research with the greatest potential for impact.
Before joining JUST, Niamh held a variety of communications and content roles at the University of Sheffield, where she worked with interdisciplinary centres to enhance their reputation, attract research funding and build trust for evidence‑based change.
She is particularly interested in the role of research communications in shaping the wider discourse on fair and inclusive climate transitions.
