Matt Newbould is a PhD Researcher for the Tyndall Centre, working alongside the Society and Environment Research Group (SERG) in an interdisciplinary approach to climate research. His past research has been focused on social geographies, relationships with and understandings of rewilding in different contexts in the UK and how this may shape future socio-ecological configurations.

As such, his current work explores the role of ‘beyond human’ systems and entities in the care, repair and maintenance of social and built infrastructures drawing on social constructivist and actor-network theories and supervised by the corresponding thematic working group’s leads, Claire Hoolohan and Stefan Bouzarovski.

He works as a workshop facilitator for the NGO Force of Nature, a group working to mobilise mindsets for climate action.
